Halcyon is a Minecraft lands PvP server that feels like old school survival but on the newest version. It was started by a postgraduate medievalist and the whole server aims for a strong medieval atmosphere.

The world is custom made with big unique biomes. There is no teleporting so travel actually matters. Players make roads waystations and hidden railways to move around. Progression takes more effort so things like bravery smart trading big cities and mighty fortresses are what make you strong. You succeed by teaming up and rallying people to your banner instead of abusing exploits.

The community is based in Australia but there are players from Europe the Americas and Asia. There is no strict server lore you must follow. You just join pick a direction punch some trees and play Minecraft how you like. Over time simple projects turn into big stories as other players get involved.
