I found a modded Origins RPG server that is built around tech and magic and it feels like it wants you to make your own story.
It has tons of dungeons and monsters and magic and it uses mods like Create Ice and Fire Valoria Tinkers Construct and Iron Spells and Spell Books plus more.
You can pick from lots of races and classes and backgrounds and even an alignment for magic. People can make kingdoms factions nations or rebellions and roleplay it out while traveling around.
It also includes FTB so you can team up claim chunks and protect your stuff from thieves. The server has proximity voice chat and simple shops and it is still new but getting more players over time.
The owner also plans to add public dungeons and world exploring quests with custom NPCs and they mentioned 1.20.1.

Far to the West SMP is a newly launched modded survival server that is trying to feel like a forever world but with a big fantasy adventure twist.
