This is a friendly SMP server that tries to feel different from the usual servers that fade fast. It has been running for over a month and it is built to keep going with more months ahead.
I saw that it has events and stuff to do like spleef and build contests. There are also PvP tournaments and sometimes members host them too. You can pick jobs like farming crops or mining ores and just chill and play.

DaemoniaCraft is an SMP on a huge Earth map made at 1 to 750 scale with a medieval kingdoms vibe. Players can start small and pick their path. You can build a quiet village or you can claim land and push into wars with other kingdoms.
The server has a hunter style progression where you begin at E rank and try to climb up to S rank. You unlock custom skills and you can find craft and trade for higher tier gear. Gates open around the world and they bring monsters and big rewards. Kingdoms can team up to clear dungeons beat the boss and fight for control.
It also runs on a feudal style economy that is player driven. You can sell dungeon loot use jobs and trade in player markets. Towns take shared effort and territory gives valuable resources. The server says it has no wipes and no seasonal resets so progress is meant to last long term.

AvalonEarth is a geopol and EarthSMP server where players make nations and try to grow them on a huge 1 to 500 scale map. You can join on both Java and Bedrock so it is easy to bring friends.
The server uses Towny for towns and nations. You get starter money so you can create a nation right away without grinding first. That makes it feel more open for new players.
There is lots of conflict and wars if you want that. If you do not like fighting you can play peaceful and mostly avoid the drama.
Money mainly comes from jobs plus farming and fishing. The server had a first season in September and now it is on season two with a growing community.

CaliCraft is a player run server based out of California where you can actually shape what happens. It feels like survival mixed with politics because players vote for an Emperor every two weeks and that person gets real power.
The Emperor can add or remove plugins across gamemodes and make laws and even imprison people for any reason. If you get marked as a fugitive you can end up spawning in prison when you die or get dragged back in handcuffs if you get caught. There is a Constitution they have to follow but they can also make temporary laws. Some laws can become permanent through a 3 day Discord poll.
There is a lobby first and it helps you jump into different gamemodes fast. The server has Modded Survival with custom enchantments skills jobs an auction house an economy custom dungeons and vote crates with gear. It also has Vanilla Survival with quests chest sorting and daily rewards plus Skyblock with extra addons.
There is also a Cobblemon server on a separate Fabric setup so you need the Cobblemon modpack to play it. The server supports versions from 1.17.1 to 1.21.10.
A big part of the vibe is custom content with a custom resource pack. You can run into unique mobs animals elites and dungeon bosses with special drops so it is not just normal vanilla exploring.
