This is a vanilla anarchy style server with minimal rules and a lot of freedom. It has been running for almost a year so it feels like a place that is meant to last.
You can join on Java or Bedrock. Java works from 1.13 to 1.21.x and they recommend 1.21.11. Console players can also connect by adding a friend.
The big thing is it is NoHack. Hacked clients cheats and xray are not allowed even with resource packs. You also cannot exploit server vulnerabilities crash the server or try to lag it. Macros and automation tools are not allowed and excessive chat spam can get you auto kicked.

Rai Nation is a session based nations server that runs on Wednesdays Friday Saturday and Sunday. It feels good for players who do not want to log in every day and still keep up.
The main thing here is nation and player interactions. People focus on building up their places and doing diplomacy. War can happen but it is meant to be rare and a big deal. The rules are set up so your work is protected and offline raiding is not the vibe.
There is a merchants village where players trade credits for lots of stuff like enchants and building blocks. Sometimes events happen there too.
The world also has lore and mystery with Unknown entities. In season one Unknown was the main enemy and later it split into five fragments that can show up during sessions. It can turn into combat jump scares or weird dealing so it keeps things unpredictable.

I found Moshpit SMP and it feels like survival that still keeps a vanilla vibe but it does not try to be super strict.
There are no land claims so you can build anywhere and people can raid too so it can get wild. It supports both Bedrock and Java so more friends can play together.
It has player shops plus an auction house and duels if you want to make quick cash. There are custom enchants that are meant to stay balanced like 3×3 drills and lifesteal.
The world has custom terrain that still looks normal. PvE gets harder the farther out you go and there are random world events every 30 minutes that can help or hurt or just be weird.
The owner says they are active and keep changing stuff based on feedback and the server runs fine even on low end PCs.

Malgazar is a chill SMP that is trying to be the kind of place where your builds do not get wrecked the second you log off. It is hosted in the UK and it runs on Purpur. The server is meant for official Minecraft launchers only.
Rules are pretty clear and they focus hard on respect. No griefing no stealing no scamming no slurs and no drama. PvP is not allowed unless both people agree and cheating stuff like x ray seed maps and duping glitches are not allowed. They also say do not mess with other peoples pets and animals.
