EchelonMC is a survival server that tries to stay simple and clean while still feeling new. It runs on a normal Minecraft install so you do not have to download mods or extra clients. Most things are made to feel like normal survival so it does not get confusing.
The server is built around the community. Players can use a suggestion system in game to share ideas and those ideas are checked a lot. The whole project changes based on what players think so it feels like the community is building the server together.
EchelonMC is focused on survival and does not try to change the main loop of the game. Nothing is super overpowered and the world acts how you expect. They even turned off Endermen block pickup so your builds stay safe.
There are some cool systems like a command controller that only shows commands you can actually use and NPCs at spawn that explain features and help you get around. There is a wilderness NPC that can send you to a random place and the ground slowly wears into paths as people walk which looks really natural.
The spawn hub is clean and gives you the info you need when you first join. The server can update a lot of things live without restarting so it stays online more while they work. It is getting ready for release and the owners seem really focused on listening to players and keeping everything smooth and easy to understand.
