Halcyon is a Lands PvP server with a medieval vibe and it is built to feel like old school survival while still running on modern vanilla Minecraft. It is on 1.21.11 and they plan to update to 1.26.1 as soon as they can. The server is based in Australia and players show up from Europe the Americas and Asia with a steady crowd and big daily peaks.
The world is handmade and the rules are meant to make things tougher and slower so you do not just rush the meta. People get ahead by teaming up doing brave fights making deals building big cities and fortresses and getting others to follow their banner.
There is no teleporting so travel matters a lot. Players build roads waystations and even secret underground railways. Some crops and saplings only work in certain biomes so trading becomes important and regions start to feel different.
The server also keeps a mystery feel since there is no big guide beyond a handbook at spawn. Lore and politics and religion and strange secrets are mostly learned from player written books and from talking to other players in libraries towers and sacred places.
