This server is called Master Mon and it runs Cobblemon together with the Create mod so it feels like Pokemon mixed with crazy machines. It is a modded SMP and it has been online for more than a year so it does not feel like one of those worlds that vanish after a few weeks.
You can play how you want. A lot of people do roleplay with lore and characters but it is not required. You can just chill build and explore if that is more your style. There are gyms run by actual players and you can battle for badges. There are also tournaments that feel more high stakes and competitive.
The Create mod is a big part of the server so you can build factories and automate stuff and make giant contraptions while you train your team. There is a custom safari zone where you go to hunt for rare Pokemon style mobs in a special area.
The server has weekly events so something new is happening all the time and it keeps people active. The community is described as safe non toxic and welcoming so different kinds of players can feel comfortable here.
It supports content creators too from small channels to bigger ones so if you like to stream or record videos they are cool with that.
The server uses NeoForge and the version is 1.21.1.
