ArcticMC is a new SMP survival server that mixes Towny and factions so you can build a town team up with allies or fight for land.
PVP matters here but it is not just random chaos since they use an honor system and it is explained in their rules.
It also has McMMO skills so you can level up stuff like mining combat and potions as you play and unlock special abilities.
The world uses Tectonic generation so the terrain looks super nice with big mountains and valleys. There are also custom items including furniture and they plan a per chunk limit to help with lag.
The community is meant to be calm friendly and atmospheric so it is a good spot to grind build or just chill and chat.
