Heritage SMP is a survival multiplayer server that feels like vanilla but with some extra stuff that makes it better while still being simple. It runs on Minecraft 1.20.1 with Fabric so it uses a Vanilla plus style modpack with quality of life tweaks.
The main thing here is the Origins mod with a big selection of different origins so every player has their own abilities and weaknesses. Your origin can change how you play and also how you roleplay so people can build cool characters and cultures around it.
Roleplay is encouraged but not forced so you can go from light RP to deep RP if you want. Players can make nations and settlements or join factions and guilds or just wander around as travelers and legends. Over time the world is meant to last a long time so bases and stories become history instead of getting reset all the time.
The server uses Simple Voice Chat with proximity so talking to people feels more natural. It makes random meetings feel really alive because you hear people when you get close instead of only typing.
Rules are pretty simple. No griefing without an in character RP reason. No cheating or exploits. Respect other players and their roleplay. Do not abuse your origin abilities in unfair ways.
