Bleeding Heart SMP is a hardcore vanilla style world where death is actually permanent. The only way to come back is if another player decides you are worth it and brings your head to a revival shrine. It makes survival feel really social because you are only safe if people care if you live.
The world is still really new. Towns are half built and alliances are still forming. Nothing feels finished yet and that is kind of the cool part. The map is huge with the Far Lands millions of blocks away and there is a world border way out there so you can just walk off and disappear if you want.
The server runs on FabricMC so redstone works like people expect and stuff like TNT duping and gravity block duping works too. People can build crazy machines and maybe even giant cannons if they feel like it.
There is only one mace on the whole server right now and it has already changed owners a bunch of times. The player base is still small but growing and that makes reputations form super fast. What you do actually matters and people remember it.
There are no pay to win things at all and no loot boxes. If you want a super loud server with constant events and instant gear this is not really that. This place feels like the early days of a world where you have to earn survival and the world will remember what players did first.

CaveMC is a really cool semi anarchy survival server where the whole overworld is underground. There is no normal surface at all. Everything is caves and underground biomes with resources and structures everywhere.
The world is enhanced vanilla with custom generation made by real Minecraft developers. It feels familiar but also super weird and dangerous. Survival is brutal and you have to be very smart to stay alive for long.
Season 2 adds a huge new place called the Wasteland Dimension. It is not just a biome. It is a whole new area with its own custom map and special features.

This is a hardcore plus survival server that feels almost like classic vanilla but with a twist. Every time you die you lose one heart and you can go all the way down to three hearts. To get your hearts back you have to craft a heart crystal using an echo shard and a diamond block. This can even push you over the normal ten hearts and up to twenty hearts but the extra hearts are temporary and get removed when you take damage.
The world has real danger because there are no teleport commands and all block damage is enabled like fire spread and creeper explosions. Stealing and griefing are not allowed though so it is not an anarchy server. You still have to respect other players builds and items.
The server started as a close knit vanilla SMP community that has been around for years and players sometimes compare it to hermitcraft. There are regular events every weekend and mayor elections every month so the world feels alive. There is also an optional cozy modded server and another hardcore server you can try if you want more.

Anarchy Network is a semi anarchy Minecraft server that tries to feel like pure vanilla survival with almost no limits. It started in October 2024 and the world is meant to last with no map resets so everything you build or destroy stays.
You can join on Java versions from 1.7.2 up to 1.21.10 and they recommend playing on 1.21.10 so things work better. The server runs all day and night so you can hop on whenever you want. The world border is huge at 2 million blocks each way so there is tons of space to explore and hide.
The play style is really loose. PvP is fully allowed and so is griefing. There is no pay to win and there is no teleporting commands besides a simple spawn command. This server is called LegacyMC and it is a full on anarchy survival world. It is completely vanilla and there are no rules at all. There are no land claims or protection and there are no game changing plugins. What you build what you break and what you steal is totally up to you.
