Halcyon is a Lands PvP server that is trying to feel like a medieval world. It is built by a postgraduate medievalist and it sticks to an old school survival style while still running on vanilla Minecraft 1.21.11. The server is based in Australia but people play from Europe the Americas and Asia and it usually has 10 to 30 players on at a time.
The world is handmade and the rules are set up to make the game harder and slower. It is not about doing the best meta tricks. It is more about teamwork skill and big player stories like fighting for land making trade deals and building huge cities and fortresses. A big part is getting other players to follow your banner.
There is no teleportation so traveling actually matters. Players end up making long roads waystations and even secret underground rail lines. Some crops and saplings only work in certain biomes so trading becomes important and each area can feel different.
There is no forced lore and no pre made adventure. People can just play normally and see what happens when others get involved. The server is designed to help stories happen and players have already been making art books myths and weird superstitions.
Night cannot be skipped and healing is slow and only works in certain conditions so you have to be careful.

This server is a vanilla anarchy style place that has been running for almost a year. It supports both Java and Bedrock so more people can join in.
It stays chaotic but it is also strict about fair play. Hacked clients cheats and xray are not allowed even with resource packs. Exploiting bugs crashing the server or trying to lag it on purpose is not allowed either. Macros and automation tools are banned and chat spam can get you auto kicked.
