Halcyon is a Lands PvP server that feels like a tough old school medieval world. It runs the latest vanilla Minecraft 1.21.11 but the gameplay is not easy. The world is handmade and survival is slower and harder so you cannot just rush everything.
There are no teleports so travel actually matters. People build long roads waystations and hidden underground rail lines. Biomes are large and crops and saplings only grow in certain places. This makes trade really important and different areas get their own strengths and identity.
The server uses some rules to reduce meta play and big automation. Health comes back slowly and only in certain ways and night cannot just be skipped. Winning is more about courage smart trading strong builds and getting people to follow your banner instead of using exploits.
Players can make factions with the Lands plugin and form cities and fortresses. There is no strict server lore you have to follow and nobody is forcing you into a premade story. You just pick a direction punch trees and your own story grows as you meet other players.
The community is spread across Australia Europe the Americas and Asia and there are usually between 10 and 30 players online. People already make books art myths and little superstitions in game and it all comes out of how the world and plugins push players to create their own tales.
