This is a factions server that tries really hard to feel like the old school days but on a newer Minecraft version. It uses 1.8 style combat and pot pvp so fights are fast and based on skill not on crazy custom enchants.

I found this Minecraft network that is pretty new and still in early launch. It is called NovaCraft Network and it focuses on fair progression and actually listening to players. It does not feel pay to win and it does not rely on weird gimmicks.

This server is all about custom spawner crafting in survival. Spawners are treated like the main resource here and the whole gameplay kind of revolves around them.

ONLYXP is a really hard survival server that never feels finished. The whole idea is that every player is always racing for experience before each wipe so the field stays even.
There are minimal custom coded plugins and there are no tp or spawn or sethome commands so you have to travel and survive for real. Ranks use xp so the time you spend grinding actually matters.
The world gets reset but the xp you earn does not. This makes every new week feel fresh because you log into a new world and choose new farms and new strategies to get as much xp as possible.
It feels like survival with a real goal instead of just sitting on stuff and waiting to be raided. Your builds and land reset but your grind and your xp stay.

This server is called RefinedVanilla and it is a true vanilla anarchy world. There are basically no rules except you cannot use hacked clients. You can build bases destroy stuff explore far away and try weird experiments. It tries to stay exactly how Mojang made Minecraft so it feels like singleplayer but with other people.
The owner uses Fabric so the game keeps real vanilla mechanics. Redstone works like it should. TNT chains and piston machines act like singleplayer. Tick timings stay the same so technical players can make farms and machines without everything breaking.
The performance is tuned a lot. The server changes simulation distance mobcaps and render distance while people are online. This keeps it running smooth even when more players join.
There are a few gameplay notes. The nether roof is allowed so you can travel super fast. Chunk trailing is patched. Portal chunkloaders will work but they stop when no player is close in either dimension.

This is a simple vanilla SMP that runs on 1.21.11 and it is just straight survival with no extras.
There are no cheats and no mods. There are also no clans so everyone just plays normal survival like in a singleplayer world but with other people around.
The server renews every 4 hours and then it is down for about 10 minutes after that. So it keeps restarting on a schedule.

I found this hardcore server and it is totally empty right now
There are zero players on it so the idea is to be the first ones and build crazy civilizations before everyone else joins
It is hardcore so we have to be really careful and smart and we mostly need good builders and grinders who like long projects
The server has no admins and it is basically anarchy but hacks are not allowed so you still have to play legit
The plan is to make a big 100 player clan and try to shape the whole world kind of like those unstable smp style servers
