PurpleSMP is a relaxed survival server that mixes PvE with PvP when you actually want it. PvP is off by default so you can build and explore without getting jumped but you can toggle it on to mess around with friends.
It has mcMMO so leveling skills makes grinding feel way more satisfying. The economy is fully made by players with no server shops and no currency so trading is about what people think stuff is worth.
You can protect your builds with land claims and everybody gets a personal vault for extra storage. There is also a web map you can use to see the world like a google maps style view. Crossplay is enabled so you can join from different devices.
