The egg only makes money when it is placed in the world and it pays out every 10 minutes over 30 days for a total of 1000000 money and 300 shards. If you are in a team the income gets split evenly.
When the egg is placed everyone can see where it is since the location gets broadcast and it shows on BlueMap with a marker. Anyone can break the placed egg and steal it so it turns into a fight over defense and raids. It also has glowing particles so hiding it is hard.
If the egg gets destroyed by stuff like lava or explosions it is gone and you have to reclaim it from the dragon. After 30 days it goes inert and you can still sell it but it stops making passive income.
