Golden Nations is a harsh survival server where players build nations and fight over land. It is all about diplomacy war economy and plain survival. The world is made to feel serious and unforgiving.
It runs on Minecraft 1.21.11 and the map starts at 5000 by 5000 then expands as more people join. You can join on any version because of ViaBackward.
Travel is slower and more important since there are no elytras. There are also no villagers so you cannot spam easy trades. Crafting is harder with custom recipes and netherite crafting is kept strict with no shortcuts.
The server pushes building and logistics. Roads make you walk faster and powered rails make minecarts go faster too so nations that build good infrastructure get an edge.
There are custom systems like a grindstone rework that lets you pull enchantments into books. Farming is reworked for realism and balance. Fishing has custom drops with rare catches. You can also silk touch spawners to move them for defenses and builds.
