Cities and Kingdom is a Minecraft Realm that has been active since 2018.
People make nations with populations economies and militaries. There are systems set up so all that stuff can actually work and feel real.
They want active loyal and dedicated players who will help grow the lore and make the world bigger. If you like building cities or building up armies and similar things you will fit in.
You need to be 15 or older. You also have to join an interview server so they can make sure you are serious and get to know you.

United Lands is a Towny based Earth SMP on version 1.21.5. It uses a 1:500 scale Earth map so towns and nations can spread out and shape big borders without a lot of upkeep.
The vibe is geopolitical and full of roleplay with wars and rival nations. You can join an existing town or start your own and try to build an empire.
There are custom features like new gear and items plus exotic foods. You can also pick from 7 jobs with skill trees and work toward Masterwork Armor. Some upgrades can give things like more sethomes or flight inside your town.
The economy is player driven with no Admin Shops. Players use warps to run shops so you can hunt for good prices or try to control the market yourself.
The store stays fair since the items are cosmetic only and not pay to win.

ReforgedEarth is a Minecraft Java server where people build towns and turn them into nations on a super detailed 1 to 1000 Earth map.
You can build basically anywhere on the planet and then fight over land when other groups get too close. Wars are a big deal here and towns can be conquered through SiegeWar.
There are strategic spots you can capture for strong rewards and airdrops that fall around the world so groups race to secure them. You can also level up skills to unlock perks.
Players can brew custom alcohol and trade with others. Season 6 just started so it feels like a fresh run and everyone is trying to expand fast.

I found this new modded SMP called Creativity SMP and it is a multi type server where you can play a lot of different ways.
You can build a nation or go solo and you can set up huge farms using Create with a bunch of addons. The only real limit is when your farms start making the server lag so the modpack is kept smaller to help with big builds.
It also has Valkyrian Skies and Eureka so people can make tanks airplanes and boats. The server is still new so the rules are not fully finished yet.
Right now they want people to not use nukes until they figure out the rules for that. They also say dont be a A Hole and for the time being wars are not allowed.

Zeppelincraft is a nation warfare server set on a 1 to 750 scale Earth in an alternate 1940s kind of world where zeppelins never stopped being a thing.
People claim land and build nations using Towny. You can make alliances or start wars and fight for real territory on the map.
The coolest part is the custom zeppelins and warships you can actually pilot with Movecraft. Fights happen out in the world with big battles plus sieges using SiegeWar and Movecraft Combat and Cannons so it feels serious and strategic.
There is also mining trading and player shops plus mcMMO for skills. The server supports Java and Bedrock and it also allows cracked players. Version is 1.21.1 and it has been around since 2017 just renamed to Zeppelincraft.

It has custom plugins that push politics further like making vassals claiming titles and trying to become a great power. There is also a battle points system that mixes pvp players with normal players in a more resource focused way.
You can recruit more people to grow your claims so nations that get organized can spread fast. Wars are a big part of it too since you can declare war for land riches or renown and decide if you want peace or glory.
They say it is running on top tier hosting for smooth gameplay and the server is in beta right now with rewards planned for full release.

AvalonEarth is a geopol and EarthSMP server where players make nations and try to grow them on a huge 1 to 500 scale map. You can join on both Java and Bedrock so it is easy to bring friends.
The server uses Towny for towns and nations. You get starter money so you can create a nation right away without grinding first. That makes it feel more open for new players.
There is lots of conflict and wars if you want that. If you do not like fighting you can play peaceful and mostly avoid the drama.
Money mainly comes from jobs plus farming and fishing. The server had a first season in September and now it is on season two with a growing community.
