This server is called Social Minecraft and it is all about making friends and hanging out while playing. It is a skyblock style SMP where the main goal is to have a chill place to talk and play together.
They do weekly gatherings every Wednesday night around 7 PM EST. People hop into Discord and play Minecraft together and do different adventures. The server is open all the time though so you can join and play whenever you want.
Everyone usually goes by their first name or a nickname. It makes the server feel more personal and less awkward and it is easier to remember people. The community wants it to feel like a real group of friends not just random players.
