ColonyMC is an open beta factions SMP that is trying to be a long term world. It feels like it cares about real progression and faction wars instead of quick resets.
I noticed it avoids instant god kits and it is not pushing a crate spam economy. The server is building systems slowly and testing them while taking player feedback so joining early can matter.
There are over 100 custom enchantments and they are meant to be balanced with a structured rarity system. It also has custom bosses with more planned and the PvP balance gets adjusted.
The world is made for strategy with big terrain and natural choke points plus hidden areas worth fighting over. There is a live Dynmap for scouting and planning and territory control is a big deal.

RevivalSMP is a survival server with custom lifesteal. If you kill someone you can steal hearts. If you die you lose hearts. When you hit 0 hearts you do not get banned and you become a ghost instead.
A player can visit your grave and give up one of their own hearts to revive you. Enemies can also loot your grave chest if they have a Graveyard Key. If nobody revives you then you stay stuck in the Graveyard for 5 real days and then you auto revive.
It also has a duels system with 1v1 arena fights and ranked leaderboards and you do not lose hearts there. There is a bounty system so players can put a price on someone and hunters can go after them.
There are Community Worlds where players can upload a world invite friends toggle PvP and build with full creative freedom. There is also an AFK World that is a safe zone for going AFK.
