Tensura Symphony MC is a brand new modded Java SMP inspired by That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. It is trying to mix monsters and magic with survival so players can explore and level up over time.
The vibe is community driven. People can build kingdoms and make alliances and basically shape the world together. The server also runs community events and it is meant to stay fair and friendly for both new players and experienced players.
It is not fully launched yet because they want to start once they hit 20 active players. Joining early means you can be one of the first players and help set the tone from the start.

The map is based on Earth and it uses satellite imagery so the mountains rivers and coastlines look like the real thing. Every continent feels familiar and it makes exploring and claiming land feel more intense.
Players can build cities castles and big empires then make allies or enemies. Wars happen and territory can change hands so diplomacy actually matters. You can also set up economies and trade routes and try to become powerful without fighting all the time.
It feels like the players write the history because the world changes based on who negotiates who betrays and who wins.

GodLike SMP is a survival server where the big thing is teams and wars. It is made for people who want clans and rivalry instead of just chilling alone.
There are five teams and they can add more if lots of people join. Each team has one leader and five players total. Teams can fight each other or make alliances and play politics.
There is a weekly war and the winning team gets perks until the next war. The owners give the perks. Each team also gets one safehouse and other teams cannot attack you inside it.
The server supports Java and Bedrock and it also lets cracked players join.

It has a bunch of wild weapons from the Unstable SMP like Wemmbus Nuke Flamefrags and the Wolf Army stuff so the combat can get really crazy.

You can PvP if you want and there is lots of room for drama with alliances and betrayals. The vibe is controlled chaos with no scripts so the stories come from real players.
They want more active players especially from the Asia region but anyone can join. It is meant to be long term with years of development and story telling and they also say there will be no resets.

It is semi anarchy so fights and betrayal can happen but it is not just pointless destruction. If someone griefs with no story or reason it can get rolled back so the world can keep going
The main thing here is the Tier system for PvP. You can gain Tiers by killing players and you lose Tiers when you die so every fight feels risky
There is proximity voice chat so people can talk during trades and deals and threats. There are no land claims so the world is shaped by trust and politics instead of plugins
The map is finite at 2500 by 2500 blocks so players run into each other a lot and stories actually form

I found a new survival PvP server called RemakeSMP and it feels like one of those places where you join and instantly have to watch your back.
People run in teams and there are assassin groups too so it gets intense fast. The main vibe is fighting and trying to keep your stuff safe before someone takes it.
They also do tournaments every couple weeks and you can get really strong loot like the king's loot. There are basically no rules except you cannot cheat so it turns into full chaos but still fair.

RegionsSMP is a seasonal survival server that is still in alpha. It is a work in progress and stuff is being tweaked so it is not the final product.
Players get split into two teams and you pick a side. Then both teams fight over regions across the map over about a month. When you claim a region it gets protected from the other team unless they own a region right next to it. That makes a lot of back and forth fights and a big warzone feeling.
The server owner treats it like a passion project and wants to improve each season. It is war and PvP centric but they also want room for different play styles. Custom builds can be carried into new wars as protected builds and new features and changes are expected often.
