This server is a vanilla style survival world that starts you in the middle of an ocean. When you join you have to swim or use a boat to reach land and then you can start your own journey.
The world is really old and was first made in 2011 so you can find super old terrain mixed with newer areas and a lot of ruins if you explore far enough. It feels like digging through Minecraft history while still finding fresh places to build.
The server uses a few simple datapacks that give you commands like trigger home and trigger spawn and you can set up to 10 homes per player. Other than that it plays like normal Minecraft with no changes to gameplay or terrain generation. Player and mob heads can sometimes drop in fights which is cool for trophies.
The server always runs the latest Minecraft snapshot so you can try new features early before they are on most other servers.
There are only two rules. Treat other players with respect and do not try to crash the server on purpose. Almost everything else is allowed. Griefing is allowed and hacked clients are allowed so you need to be smart about where you build and who you trust.
Most people here are in their mid twenties or older and a lot are from the US with some Russian and Polish speakers too. The vibe is relaxed and kind of unstructured and it feels like a small group of old friends who are letting new players join in.

BlockedInMC is a new towny survival server that just opened and it already feels pretty active. You can create your own town with a command and claim land so your stuff is safer. If you do not want to lead a town you can just join someone else and help them grow their place.
The server lets you play how you want. You can work together with others and build up big towns or go solo and try to fight everyone as an underdog and climb the ranks. There is teleport stuff like random tp and tpa so it is easier to get around the world and meet other players.

Everbloom SMP is a small network with two different survival worlds and it feels pretty relaxed.
There is a casual survival world that is perfect if you like building and exploring and just peaceful play. It has custom terrain and structures but still feels kind of like normal vanilla. There is no pvp no griefing and no raiding so it is really safe if you just want to build farms and cool bases with other friendly players.
They also have a more standard survival world called Everbloom Survival with seasons. Season 3 starts on the 12th of December so it is a fresh start chance. On this one pvp and raiding are allowed so it has more risk and action. Farming redstone and nether roof access are fully supported so technical players can go crazy. The world border is 75k so there is a lot of space but not so huge that everyone is super far apart.
Both modes are crossplay so people on Java and Bedrock can play together. The server says it is lag free and stable which is really nice if you like big builds or farms.

Waychest is a PvE semi vanilla SMP where everything happens in one giant shared survival world. It is like a mix of a public server and a private realm.
When you join you start a Journey with your own spawn spot. It feels like you have your own server for you and your friends. As you explore more you slowly find out there are other players out there on their own Journeys too.
There are special chests called Waychests that connect different Journeys. They help guide you across the world to places other players discovered before you and they reward you when you find them. Later you can craft your own Waychests so the next Journey can discover your builds.
There is a flying minigame that uses elytra you craft from special ingredients. You fly through rings in the world and the path can lead you to a Waychest made by some stranger somewhere out there.
The server also uses discovery based warps so fast travel only works after you actually find the warp point first. It keeps the world feeling big and about exploring instead of just teleporting everywhere.

CaveMC is a Minecraft survival server where the entire overworld is underground. There is no surface at all. Everything is caves and tunnels and huge underground biomes.
The server is enhanced vanilla and semi anarchy so survival is really brutal. Players need to be smart and tough if they want to stay alive. Griefing and fighting can happen so only the most resourceful players will last.

This is a really old Minecraft survival server that started in 2011 and it is all about PvP and survival. The world has never been reset so there are years of history hidden all over the map and a lot of old players still log in.
