CinderCivs is a vanilla plus geopolitical roleplay server where players run the world and the story. It has been going for over two years and the main world does not reset so builds and changes stick around for a long time.
You can claim land in a 10k by 14k area that will persist. There is also a larger 20k by 20k map out to the world border that gets reset each major update so people can explore and mine again.
The server pushes travel and infrastructure since elytra are banned. It has a 1 to 1 nether and faster railways and pathways plus some custom quality of life crafting recipes that help builders. There is also a plugin made for roleplay.
Players form nations with their own governments and power struggles. Nations do war diplomacy trade and alliances. The community is welcoming and likes creative projects like writing lore and making flags and maps. It runs on Java 1.21.5 with ViaVersion and ViaBackwards compatibility.
