I found a small survival multiplayer world that is run like a community project. It is called Anything SMP and the whole point is that the server gets reset every so often.

The community gets to decide what they want to do each reset. It sounds pretty casual and open and it is welcoming for any ages.

The host says they are 14 and they just want people to have fun.

I found LegacyMC and it is a vanilla anarchy survival server that is meant to feel raw and unrestricted. It is an open world with no rules and it avoids gameplay changing plugins.

The world started in June 2025 so it still feels like a place where you can make your mark. There are no resets and there is no land protection so anything you build can be found raided or destroyed.

PvP is on and griefing and raiding are allowed. There is no teleporting and no admin interference so you have to travel and survive the hard way.

It is hosted on dedicated hardware in Australia for low latency for Australia and New Zealand players. It is open to everyone with no whitelist and it is not monetized with no pay to win and no donation requests.
