I found EverythingMinecraft and it is a classic survival server that is whitelisted so it feels more secure and friendly.
You have to do email verification and they say it filters out most trolls. It is meant for people who just want to play survival and build and explore without a bunch of extra stuff.
The server has player profiles and a database tied to your account. They also talk about leaderboards and more features coming soon. You can jump in and make your mark and you do not need Discord to play.
