I found Ordinary SMP and it is a vanilla survival server for Java 1.21.11. It tries to stay updated so players get the newest stuff.
The community is small and active with people from different places. Players like to build together and work on big shared projects so it feels like a real group world.
It is whitelisted so the server can keep things respectful. They also use Ledger to track activity and help investigate griefing or stealing.
There is a live BlueMap so you can see the world. There is Simple VoiceChat for talking in game plus an AudioPlayer for custom audio.
They have dragon elytra drops. The server also uses a custom resource pack with cosmetics trophies and event rewards with a HermitCraft inspired vibe.
