Eden is a long term civilization style SMP where the whole world is built and run by players.
There are no world resets and admins stay out of the way most of the time. There are no protected towns and no pre built areas. If you see a road or a city or a farm it is because some group of players planned it and built it and now has to defend it.
Players make their own nations and cities. They decide who leads them and how laws work and what happens to criminals. Alliances rise and fall and different governments get tested when there is pressure or war.
The server uses reinforced blocks so bases and vaults are hard to raid and take real effort to break. Crops are regional so some only grow in certain biomes and ores spawn as you mine so tools and location matter. Some resources are locked to certain regions so people need trade and good logistics.
There are snitch style blocks that track activity for security and investigations. There is also a system where players can capture other players and imprison them in the Nether as a way to punish crimes or use pressure during conflicts.
Right now the map is fresh and shops and towns are just starting to appear. The player count is already decent and the whole world feels like it is at the beginning of something big.

StrayaMC is a server that focuses on island style gameplay with Skyblock and Oneblock. It is hosted in Australia so people in OCE get really good ping but anyone can still join and play.

Eden is a survival server that is trying to see what happens when players build a full civilization with no map reset and almost no admin help.
When you build something you do not just claim land with a command. You reinforce the actual blocks with different materials so griefing is super hard and takes a lot of effort. Your castle or town feels like a real fortress that has to be broken into the hard way.
The economy is all about real scarcity and industry. There are no admin shops and mobs do not give xp. Instead players make factories that turn crops into xp. Crops grow at different speeds in different biomes and ores show up as you mine and change with biome and y level. Some stuff only shows in certain places so farmers and miners need each other. This makes real trade routes and trade hubs appear.
Crime and punishment is also run by players. If someone steals or griefs you do not ping a moderator. You use snitch blocks to track them then hunt them down. You can imprison them and send them to the nether so your laws actually matter. You can run a peaceful republic a trading nation or a rogue state but you have to defend it yourself.
The whole server feels like a big social experiment where builders merchants and politicians all mix together and the world just keeps going without resets.

This is a modded Java server called Geopol Reforged and it is all about history themed gameplay. The server uses mods that match different historical time periods so it feels like you are playing in a changing world.
Players run the economy and players also create and lead nations. There are wars between nations and different warfare systems so fights actually matter. There are server wide events and the staff also builds lore for the world so stuff that happens can become part of the story.
The map is not a copy of Earth and it uses terrain generation mods so the world looks different from normal Minecraft. It is a PvP server with warfare and there is no unsanctioned griefing. That means you can fight and raid during war but you are not supposed to randomly destroy stuff for no reason.

This is a survival server where players make towns and then join together into big nations. The whole server is built around people talking and working together or starting wars and fighting.
The server has special plugins so you can make towns and nations and use a map to see the world. There are moving ships and cannons so wars can actually use boats and TNT. There is also a brewery plugin and a player run economy so players trade and craft their own stuff in different ways.
Griefing and raiding are not allowed all the time. You can only really grief during wars. The rules are pretty simple. No hacked clients no x ray and no unfair mods. Stuff like minimap fullbright and schematica is allowed. You also cannot use alt accounts in game or in the discord.

SkyOneMC is a server that focuses on a OneBlock style world where you start on a single block in the sky and try to survive. You break the same block over and over but it keeps changing and unlocking new phases as you go.

AlkalineCraft is a new beta factions server that tries to make Minecraft feel fun again. The server is mostly custom scripted and focuses on factions pvp mining progression and a clean economy that connects to ALK.
You can make your own faction invite your friends rank your members and fight other groups for power. There is an outpost style pvp area where factions fight for control and earn power so it is really about who can work together and win battles.
The mining system is called ALK Mining. Every block you mine builds up your balance. At the end of the season you can use the withdraw command to pull out your ALK on pump dot fun. So mining actually matters a lot and not just for gear.
You can set homes to save your base and use commands to go back to spawn or teleport into the wilderness or check help. The server is still in beta so they are adding stuff like lucky mining events special items leaderboards and more little features.
The owners want people to test find bugs and give feedback so the full release can be better. Java and Bedrock players can both join so the community can be mixed and more active.
