GoblinSMP is a fully vanilla survival server on 1.21.11 for Java and it feels really alive because people actually stay near each other.
The world border starts at 200000 by 200000 and it expands over time so early game stays active but you can still build long term.
There are no claims or protection systems so it is all player driven. You can build team up trade or fight and it is up to the players.
The rules are simple. No hacked clients and no exploits. It stays vanilla at its core but it pushes player interaction instead of everyone hiding far away.
