I found Arctania SMP and it is a long term modded survival server that has been worked on for years. It is made to feel ambitious but still stable with clear systems and support that actually responds.
The server is all about real progression and a world that sticks around. Players build big projects and the map is meant to permanently show what people do over time.
It has superhero style powers plus TARDIS travel and dimension exploring. There is also advanced tech and automation along with guns and weapon systems. You can run into dragons and transformation stuff and there are high quality custom mobs too.
The terrain uses Biomes O Plenty so the world is huge. There are NPC trading hubs at spawn and the mods are curated with balance in mind.
