I found a new SMP that is about geopolitics and nations. It is starting soon and people are trying to join early so they can claim land they want.
There are already over 40 members and it sounds like it could get way bigger fast. Nation creation applications open within a week so the early joiners get the best shot at planning territories.
The server uses mods like Brewery and Immersive Aircraft to make things more interesting. The map is 20000 by 20000 and they said it will expand as more players show up.
