EchelonMC is a fully custom survival server for Minecraft Java and it is made for long term building and teamwork. It is hosted in Canada and it has been in active development for about a month with frequent updates.
It is not trying to be a PvP chaos server. Stealing and griefing are not the point here. The server is built around players working together and shaping how things grow over time.
It has custom coded systems like auto pathing that makes paths under you and gives speed bonuses if you use them and you can toggle it. There is also an in game currency called Echelites that you earn by playing and you can spend it on progression and useful quality of life stuff.
Land claiming is a big deal here with visual borders and per chunk settings plus anti grief protection and controls for things like mobs and TNT and fire spread and raids and fluids. You can also publish chunks so other people can visit your builds and you can get rewards from visitors and move up build rankings.
There is a teams system so you can invite friends share utilities and show team nametags. Deaths make timed graves for your items and there is a /back feature to help you recover after teleports. Voting rewards are built in and there is Discord linking with a chat bridge plus anti x ray protections and a spawn hub with NPC utilities.

EchelonMC is a custom survival SMP that feels different from most servers I see. The owners use their own code and not a copy paste plugin pack so everything fits together really well.
The server is survival but it has extra systems that are made to help long term play. As you walk around you can make paths and get speed when you use them. There is a currency you earn just by playing and you spend it on progression and useful stuff.

When you die a grave appears with your items for a limited time. You also get access to back so you can return after teleports and not lose everything.

The world is mostly vanilla but there is one main mod that adds cool stuff like a shop system and an auction house so players can trade and build their own economy.
