ShadowVale is a raiding SMP where PvP is always on and the whole point is fair raids without your base getting wrecked. People can break in and take your loot but they cannot grief your build so it does not turn into anarchy.
It uses a custom claims system that blocks block breaking while still letting raiders enter and open chests. You also cannot seal storage or block doorways even if you own the claim. There is a party system too so you can team up and share permissions.
Raiding has rules to keep it fair. Bases need one clear entrance and loot has to be reachable so no sealed vaults. Traps are allowed but they must be escapable. When raiders are inside your claim it tracks the raid and stops owners from placing blocks so you cannot trap people mid fight.
TNT will not destroy bases but explosions still hurt players. Claims also have height and depth limits so you cannot hide in the sky or deep underground. The server runs on Java 1.20.6 and they are doing a soft launch soon to test everything.

I found Taerel Network and it feels like a dark fantasy survival place with a whole story behind it. The server is built around strange portal worlds that feel alien and new. It starts with a small settlement and a lake and a weird tree and then the darkness outside feels dangerous.
The main thing here is a modded SMP experience using their own custom modpacks. Each server can have different modded biomes so the world feels unfamiliar and kind of spooky. They also say the map will not reset so it is meant for long term survival and building.
