Kinetic Horizons is a modded survival server that is starting its second edition. The owners already ran the first edition so they have a lot of experience and now they are adding more cool stuff.
The server uses over 50 mods with things like Create and addons new world generation new mobs and more. It feels way more interesting than normal survival and lets you build big machines and crazy farms.
There is a skill system where you level up by doing stuff like mining farming and fighting. When you level up you get passive bonuses and also active abilities that you can turn on for a short time.
The server has no microtransactions so there is no pay to win. The owner and maybe some donors pay for the server and everyone else just plays. You do not have to buy ranks or perks.
The economy is mostly player driven. There is an admin shop with fixed prices for basic items. There is also a global player market where you can sell your stuff and buy from other players. You can earn extra money with daily tasks and with big factories. Admin shop prices are kept low so the main money comes from tasks and trades.
You can claim chunks to protect your builds so no one can grief or break blocks in your area.
If you want a modded survival world with skills factories and a simple but deep economy then this server is made for that style of play.
