I found Sapphire Server and it is a civilization style server where players make nations and try to become the top group. You can build a home base grow your country and deal with other nations through war or teamwork.
There is an economy so trading and getting rich matters too. The server has roleplay and PvP so you can act out your nation story and also fight when things get serious.
It is cross play so Java players can join even if they are non premium and Bedrock players can also play. People talk in Spanish and English and also a little Portuguese and French.

Calvaria is a 16+ Minecraft Java survival server that sticks close to vanilla on version 1.21.11. It is made for people who want to build stuff and hang out in a friendly place.
The server is whitelisted so you have to submit an application to get in. That helps keep the vibe chill.
It also runs server side mods for extra quality of life. There is Simple Voice Chat and Audio Player plus Vein Miner and Tree Harvester. There are also some crafting recipe changes and things like Item Swapper and mob and player heads and Armor Poser. You do not have to install anything to play but some features only work if you use the right mod.
Calvaria first opened on January 28th 2026 and it is still growing.

RedLine Season 2 is back with a full reset and it runs on 1.21.11. It is a semi anarchy survival server where players can fight and raid and do whatever as long as they are not hacking or duping or abusing exploits beyond what the server allows.
Griefing stealing killing and even prisoning are all allowed. There are no easy commands like sethome or claims so you actually have to travel and protect your base the old school way.
The world border stays 12k by 12k. The server is also doing a staged start with the nether opening a few days after launch.
Kits matter here with stuff like the mace kit and TNT cart kit. Netherite is allowed again and there is also a Netherite SMP kit plus a trident spear kit. There are custom recipes too like the mace needing 3 cores and the spear using Netherite blocks.
Ender chests are limited to one row so you cannot stash everything safely. There is a cosmetic RedLine System where you can collect special named weapons with skins if you use the custom resource pack and only one of each item can be made so people will race and fight for them.

I found a small vanilla plus Minecraft server that is trying to stay close to normal Minecraft. It adds some extra stuff like furniture and new crafting recipes like new types of armor. There are also some new items but it does not go too wild.
It is not a full modpack. You are supposed to drag the mods from a zip into your mods folder in whatever loader setup you use.
The rules are simple. No cheating or hacking at all. That includes hacked clients and exploits and dupes and xray and stuff like that. But griefing raiding stealing and killing are allowed so it can get messy if you are not careful.
The community is meant to stay pretty small. The server used to be a different theme before and some parts of the discord still mention that.
