This server is called Gem Bound SMP and it is a small private survival world with seasons. Each season they change the main plugin so the gameplay feels different and the new one is based on the Bliss SMP plugin.

When you join you get a random gem that gives you special powers. Some gems let you fire daggers or cast fireballs and there are other unique abilities too. The server uses an energy and lives system so PvP feels more strategic and your fights really matter because kills give you energy you can use to progress.

The server is whitelist only so it is not full of random people. They want dedicated and friendly players who actually stick around and talk. It feels like they care a lot about having a curated community and keeping each new season fresh.

If you like survival with powers and you enjoy PvP that has risk this is the kind of SMP that will probably keep you playing for a while.
