You drop your inventory and you cannot interact attack or pick up items. You are invisible and invulnerable and you get 30 minutes to survive like that and the timer keeps going even if you log off. During that time you can follow people and watch where bases are.
If the spirit timer runs out you get sent back to spawn and your hearts reset to 2. Then you go back to normal survival. They want people to stay in the game longer but still feel pressure the whole time.
