ArcticMC is a brand new SMP survival server that started just a couple days ago. It mixes Towny with factions so you can build a town then team up or fight over land.
PVP matters here but it is not meant to be toxic. They use an honor system and it gets explained in their rules on Discord.
It also has McMMO skills so you level up stuff like mining and combat while you play. They also have custom items and even furniture that is entity based and they plan to limit it per chunk to help with lag.
The world uses Tectonic generation so the terrain looks more realistic with big mountains and nice valleys. The community is meant to be calm and friendly so you can grind build or just hang out.
