I found a server using the Bliss SMP plugin and it is hosted in Singapore. People from anywhere can join so it feels like a mixed crowd.
PvP is encouraged so you should expect fights and rivalries. They also want people who will start drama or just hang out and play.
Events are going to be hosted and the goal sounds like a small group around 15 to 20 players.
