I found a vanilla Minecraft community server made for adults and it has been running since 2023. They just started Season 5 on January 24 2026 and the seasons usually last about a year.
The whole vibe is long term and chill. It is for people who do not have a lot of time and do not want grinding or speedrunning. You can build a home relax and not stress about thieves griefers or cheaters.
It is whitelisted and properly moderated so it stays cozy and safe. They want people to actually know each other and play together instead of everyone hiding away doing solo farm life.

The server runs Minecraft 1.21.11 on Java and it also has Bedrock crossplay so more people can join. It allows client mods that do not give advantages like Litematica Xaero’s Sodium and Dynamic Lights.
The big thing is it has resource worlds so the main world does not need to reset. That means your builds can stay for years. The community is active with players from around the world and there are usually people online at all hours.

Near Vanilla is a semi vanilla SMP that has been running for about eight years and it feels like a really close community. People here like to build explore collect stuff and just hang out together. There are big group projects player competitions and a busy shopping district so it never feels empty.
The server is community driven and players talk a lot on Discord about serious things and silly stuff too. When big changes are coming they listen to what the players think and talk it out first. Suggestions are welcome and the staff team is active so problems and bad behavior get handled fast.
Play styles are pretty open. Some players like to go off on their own and build far away. Others like to work in groups and join community builds. There is a DynMap you can view in your browser so you can see the world and find biomes or check how close you are to other players.
This server is 18 plus only and they expect people to be mature and respectful. There is a zero tolerance policy for hacking glitching or duping and doing that is a permanent ban. Griefing stealing bullying insults discrimination prejudice and toxic behavior are not allowed. Chat is moderated and Mojang chat reporting is turned off because of the plugins.
