You can get some materials here and there from the main world, but please do all mass-material sprees in the resource worlds.
You start at rank A and have to mine at /warp a to earn money, money is used towards ranking-up. There are A-Z ranks with a dedicated mine for every rank, with each mine having a gradual percentages increase of valuable ores/better ores. The further you get into the ranks, the more perks you unlock which gives a benefit (certain commands, more /homes ect).
