This server is running a special Valentines build battle and it looks pretty intense. The whole theme is about hearts and love but with a twist. You can build a super cute love monument or go full anti Valentines and make something dark and broken.
There are big rewards for the top three builders. First place gets a special event tag a builder wand some rare keys a lot of money and a boost they can choose. Second and third place also get event tags keys money and useful items like wands vaults and spawners.
Everyone who joins the event gets an event tag so you do not walk away with nothing. Winners just get a cooler glowing version. It feels like the server really wants people to be creative and go all out for this one event.
The server is on version 1.21.8 so it is pretty up to date. From what I can see the vibe is competitive but still fun and they really hype up the idea of fighting for the builders crown.

Minetown is a long running community focused server that has been around since 2010. It offers a laid back and friendly atmosphere with a strong focus on survival and player driven economy instead of pay to win mechanics or endless minigames. Both Java and Bedrock players are welcome. The main world, Idarun, is a long term survival economy map with land claims, shops, warps, teleports, clans and a no griefing, no raiding policy. The economy is built around player run shops and cities, giving everyone an equal chance to succeed. Regular UHC and minigame events offer ingame and cosmetic prizes. For players wanting more challenge, the Vanilla Plus world provides an enhanced hard mode survival experience with claiming but no warps, homes or economy, with firespread, griefing, raiding and always enabled PVP. Gameplay there is enhanced by custom terrain, structures, mobs and advancements. Minetown also includes a Skyblock mode with custom challenges, a balanced advancement and level system, and access to all blocks and spawners for a price, as well as Creative worlds for freebuild and plot based building, including options ideal for testing farms or creating large scale builds.
