Legends of Stonehaven is a medieval fantasy RPG server that uses a big RPG modpack. The server just opened and it feels like a fresh adventure world to explore.
The combat is totally different from normal Minecraft. There are new animations and a dodge move so fights feel fast and skill based. You build your character with an in depth skill tree and origins so every player can feel unique and strong.
There are custom weapons armor trinkets bosses origins and divine blessings that are all balanced around this pack. Enemies also scale up as you travel so the farther you go the tougher the world gets.
Magic is a big part of the server with two main magic mods that help in combat and also for utility stuff. The overworld nether and end all have overhauled biomes so the whole game looks like a fantasy adventure map.
There are hundreds of new dungeons and structures plus five new dimensions to discover. The server also has over two hundred quests that you can do alone or with friends and some quests add story and lore about the world. There is a quest shop where you can spend coins from quests on useful items.

This server is called Shinobi Reborn and it is all about a Naruto style world built around the AHZNB system. It tries to make that system deeper and more balanced so you really have to think about how you fight.
You can unlock and train a ton of different jutsus. Some are simple and help you heal and some are big elemental attacks that look super strong. You get to pick your own path and decide if you want to stay as a loyal ninja in one of the hidden villages or go rogue and hunt for special power.
The server focuses a lot on combat between players. There are balanced arenas where you can test your skill and show how good you are with your kekkei genkai and your jutsu combos. This server feels like you crashed into a broken world and now you have to figure out what is going on. It is not a fresh start and the whole thing is built around this Time Zero idea with rift events and a fractured dimension.
It is a semi vanilla SMP so it still feels like normal Minecraft but with extra stuff going on. There is some light lore so you are not forced to roleplay hard but the story is there if you want to follow it.
The server has factions so you can team up or go against other players. There is proximity chat so talking to people nearby feels way more real and kind of intense. They run frequent events so things do not get boring and there is always something happening.

This is a small survival server that feels really calm and relaxed. The players are mostly adults in their 20s and 30s and they just like to hang out and take things slow. The server is meant for people who want to play Minecraft without drama and just enjoy the game.
The world is kind of long term and usually lasts about a year before it resets. Right now the Nether is open and the group is working on a proper nether highway to link up bases. I found this modded server called Iperios and it is all about starting or joining nations. You can make your own government and your own laws and ranks. Or you can just join a nation that is already made if you do not feel like leading.
The server runs the Allthemods10 modpack on version 5.4 so you have to use that version. You also have to get whitelisted before you join. They explain how to join and give starter info in their new players info place.
When you first log in a staff member helps you out. They guide you and give you a beginner kit so you are not lost. After that you can go join a nation or build your own and start playing how you like.
