Stonehaven SMP is a small vanilla style server that feels really calm and relaxed. It did a fresh reset on October 19th so the world is still pretty new and people are slowly building up their bases.

This is a survival multiplayer server called United Crafters SMP and it is starting Season 7.

This is a modded SMP called Bagelverse that is running All The Mods 10 and it feels really crazy and fun. It has a mix of tech magic and total chaos so you can build huge power setups or weird labs or just chill on a farm.

This is a server called Rattata SMP and it is made for players who want almost pure vanilla survival. It is run on paper and lets both Java and Bedrock players join so more people can play together.
The server is meant for a mature 18 plus community. The rules are really simple. Do not grief and use common sense. Because of that the vibe feels relaxed and people can just focus on building and surviving together.
There is no teleport no custom loot and no custom world generation. It is just basic vanilla survival but on hard difficulty so mobs are tough. Only a third of the players online have to sleep to skip the night which makes things easier for groups.

This is a semi vanilla SMP called FolksMC. It feels like a small tight group that wants more people to join and help shape the server.
The main thing here is factions. The history of the server is all about different factions and what they did. There can be wars between factions but they are done in a way where people still have fun and stuff does not get wiped out into nothing. Right now there are only a few factions so there is room for new ones.
You can make your own faction with friends or join one that already exists. If you do not want any of that you can also play solo as a nomad and just do your own thing.
The server is semi vanilla with a couple of simple plugins. There is home so you can set two homes and there is spawn. When you die a gravestone plugin keeps your items safe in a player head. There is a timber style plugin so cutting trees is way faster and cleaner. You can sit on stairs slabs and other blocks. There is also a minecart plugin so you can travel on rails without using powered rails.
From what I can tell the server has been running since August last year and it is still going strong. It looks like a chilled place for people who like survival factions and simple plugins without crazy extras.
