Stormy Lagoon is a survival multiplayer server that works on both Java and Bedrock. It feels like a chill place where people just want to play together and hang out.
The server runs like a normal SMP so you join and start surviving with other players. Since it is crossplay you can log in from a computer or from a phone or console that uses Bedrock.

HermitiaSMP is a smaller survival server that feels kind of like a Hermitcraft style world but with its own twist. It is vanilla plus so it plays like normal Minecraft but there are custom datapacks and quality of life mods that add some unique features.
The server is really focused on events. They run weekly events in game and also outside of the game like art competitions and other stuff so there is always something going on. There are event houses and big community builds where you can join a house and earn points for your team.
Players can use voice chat if they want to talk while playing but it is optional so you do not have to. There are anti griefing plugins like CoreProtect so your stuff is protected and the world feels safe.

Createverse SMP is a modded Java server that is all about the Create mod and building cool stuff. The server feels calm and friendly so it is good if you like to chill and slowly build up your world.
The world has custom terrain in all three dimensions with a lot of new biomes and structures that still feel close to vanilla. There are a bunch of Create addons plus other mods that help with performance and exploration. You also get a minimap and world map so it is easier to travel and find cool places.
Createverse is still pretty new so there is not a lot of progress yet. That makes it feel like a fresh adventure where you are not behind everyone else. You can claim land and make parties so your builds stay safe.
The server is semi building focused so griefing is not allowed at all. PVP is allowed only if both players agree first. There is voice chat so you can talk while you explore and build. The End is locked for now until more players join and progress so it will feel special when it finally opens.

This is a chill ATM10 SMP server that I found and it looks pretty cozy. Right now there are four players and they want to grow to about ten people total so it stays small and friendly.
The server is running All The Mods 10 on version 1.21.1 with a few extra mods added in. They are looking for players who are around 20 years old or older so the vibe is more mature and relaxed.

This is a towny survival smp that feels really relaxed and friendly. The main idea is to build towns and protect your land while you play survival with other people.
The server uses Towny so you can claim land and make safe towns. It also has McMMO so you can level up skills and unlock cool abilities as you play. There are jobs you can join to earn money in different ways and there is a shop with prices that feel balanced.
There are crates that give cosmetic or useful rewards but nothing super overpowered so it still feels fair. Treefeller is on the server so chopping trees is smooth and fast. The rules are pretty chill and mostly about being respectful so it does not feel super strict.

GlowySMP is a new semi vanilla SMP that has been open for about a week and it already feels really active and friendly.
The server is all about survival with extra features like an economy system player warps and player shops so you can trade and build your own little business. There are land claims so your builds stay safe and you can just focus on playing.

MangoSMP is a survival server that never resets. The world is meant to last forever so your base and farms and big builds are safe. There are no wipes and no new seasons that delete all your stuff.
The community feels really friendly and active. The staff actually play on the server and help people instead of just sitting around. This is a chill whitelist survival server that feels like a big friend group. It runs on Minecraft 1.21.10 and is Java only. There are usually a few people on all day and a bigger group of regular players who come back a lot.
The main thing that stands out is proximity voice chat. You can talk to people who are near you in game which makes exploring and building way more fun. The voice mod is optional so you can still play if you do not want to install it.
The server uses plugins like jobs so you can earn money by doing normal Minecraft stuff like mining and chopping trees and then unlock extra cosmetics and commands. There is a random teleport you can use once to find a place to live.
