This is a Minecraft PvP event that runs for 48 hours and the goal is really simple. Be the last person alive while the world gets more and more dangerous.
The event is only in the overworld. The Nether is off and the End is off. There is no end crystal meta and diamond is the highest level of gear you can use. So the fights feel more like normal vanilla combat but with way more pressure.
The world border keeps shrinking over time so players are forced into encounters. There are also limited strong items that everyone fights over in announced events. You can make temporary alliances if you want but only one solo player can actually win in the end.
The first run is free to enter and it is mainly a test to see if controlled progression plus constant danger makes fights more interesting and decisions matter more.

There are claim and territory systems plus custom raiding tools so bases are not really safe if people figure out how to get in. The world is custom generated with special monuments and bosses that have their own mechanics and loot.
There are lootable crates and chests that only give rewards one time then they despawn. There is also a player economy with an auction house and shops that they are still balancing. A lot of custom items and artifacts tie into the progression and scaling systems that are being tested.

Dead Horizon is a semi anarchy SMP where survival is actually hard and every decision can matter a lot. The world has a 10k by 10k border so you will run into other players pretty often and hiding forever is not really an option.
The server is built around conflict and high stakes gameplay with teams pvp and raiding all allowed. There are not a bunch of weird gimmicks or tons of rules. Hacking is not allowed and totems are not allowed so fights feel really intense since you cannot just pop a totem and be fine.
The server runs Java and Bedrock cross play and supports versions from 1.9 up to 1.21.11 with a native version of 1.21.8 so a lot of players can join easily. There is proximity voice chat so talking to people nearby feels natural and makes encounters way more scary or funny.

This is a semi anarchy style server with a really weird death system. When you die in the overworld you get sent to a different dimension but you keep your items. If you die in that other dimension you lose everything. So you have to be careful or you are totally wiped.
There are three big nations you can join or you can just play alone. Interdimensional Raiders is the one for bounty hunters. They focus on hunting other players in the overworld to gain power and items. Sunburst is more for PvE players and they cannot be targeted by the raiders and just want to explore and learn about other dimensions. Xing is based on Fullmetal Alchemist and if you start there you begin with custom abilities and you have to build your whole progress around those abilities.
Right now the server is a work in progress. The owner keeps it online as much as possible and is still testing stuff so some features do not work yet but they are being worked on a lot. Custom items and mobs are planned and are coming pretty soon.
