Spugunke is a new semi vanilla SMP that is really focused on community and chill survival. The world is fresh so early players get to shape everything and become the first towns and groups.
The main idea is player made towns and teams. You can build a town make a shared base farm a lot or work on big projects. You can also join or make teams that do pvp exploration or resource grinding. If you like playing alone that is fine too. The server supports both competitive and relaxed playstyles.
Rules are relaxed but still fair. Griefing stealing and random killing are not allowed. Pvp has to be agreed by everyone so no surprise attacks. Town or team battles can still happen as long as everyone says yes first so there is competition but not chaos.
Spawn is planned as a shared community area where players build together and hang out. People are social and often play at the same time and talk in voice calls so it feels like an active group of friends instead of a dead world.
The server has Java and Bedrock crossplay so people on different platforms can play together. It uses only vanilla style plugins like tpa sethome spawn CoreProtect crossplay and Discord connection to make things easier without changing normal survival.
There is an End event planned for later so people can gear up together. The server is also looking for moderators as the community grows.

United Crafters SMP is starting Season 7 and it feels like a fresh new world with a bunch of people who actually like to play together.

SillyCraft SMP is a brand new modded style server that is still getting set up. The players are deciding the mods and even the version together so it feels like everyone helps build the server from the start.

The New Life SMP is a semi vanilla server where the whole point is playing together and not feeling alone.
When I joined it felt like everyone actually knows each other and new people are welcome. The community is very tight and players from different places all play together. No one acts like they are better than you. Everyone is on the same level and you can just hang out and play.
The server runs on version 1.21.10 and lets both Java and Bedrock players join. It has Simple Voice Chat so talking and working together is really easy. There are custom enchantments and armor upgrading templates so progression feels balanced but still fun.
The economy is fully player driven so trading and shops matter a lot. With monthly events and world border expansions there is always something new to do and new places to explore.
Season 2 started very recently so it is a good time to join and grow with the world from the start.

This is a community centered SMP that feels like a big friend group. The server is built by the players and for the players and there are usually a bunch of people online every day with many more in the overall community.

Horizoncraft is a community SMP that feels really friendly and chill. When I joined it felt like everyone already knew each other but they still welcomed new players. People talk a lot and the vibes are pretty relaxed.
The server is mostly vanilla survival. Players build everything in survival and the world feels natural. Sometimes the community votes to use creative mode for a special event or project but that does not happen a lot.
Players do a bunch of different stuff. Some people focus on PvP. Some record videos or stream. Around spawn there is a kind of civilization where people build cool bases and share resources. Other players just go off on their own and live in the wild.

Foggy Willows is a server that really sticks to true vanilla. It runs on the normal minecraft server jar with no plugins and no datapacks at all. There is no fancy spawn and no big story to read. You just join and survive.
The rules are simple. There is no teleport and no sethome. There are no donations and no world border. It is always on the latest stable vanilla jar and the server is self hosted on a machine that was built just for it.
Players are expected to handle their own problems. If you argue with someone you have to sort it out yourselves. You can play how you want and build what you want. Technical Minecraft players are welcome because nothing gets in the way of redstone or farms.

This server is a survival SMP that feels a lot like Hermitcraft. It is meant for people who like to build big bases and cool shops and work on community projects together.
