I found a whitelisted Minecraft server that runs civilisation style events. Each month has a different theme and the main event is planned for the end of the month. The event lasts about a week and the server stays online 24 7 so different timezones can play.
They want to start with around 50 players and they have bigger goals if more people join. It is hosted in Australia. All ages can join and you do not need a mic.
They do not like heavy modding or using too much other content. They try to make their own stuff like mods and maps. The events will not be streamed by the server but you can stream your own gameplay.
