Later season 3 opens the end. Season 4 is a legacy season where players who get elytra can earn special rewards and buffs.
When the season cycle restarts the nether and end reset but the overworld stays the same and the border just expands. The owner changes things based on what the community says so players actually help shape how the server works over time.
