NerdNu is a medium sized Minecraft community that tries to feel like mostly vanilla survival again. It is one of the oldest public multiplayer servers around and it focuses a lot on people actually knowing each other.
The PvE server is on 1.21.10 and it is survival without player vs player combat so you only worry about mobs. People team up to build towns and big cities and the PvE map was reset on September 19th. There are also Friday and Saturday games nights where players host stuff like spleef and ice boat races and there is a huge horse race event too.
The Creative server is open world with a mix of natural terrain and world painted areas. You can protect your builds and WorldEdit is free to use. Creative runs on 1.21.8 and started Revision 38 on June 22 2024. It also has community events like spleef and speed build on alternating Saturdays.
The snapshot server is closed right now because of recent updates and it will reopen later.
