I found a newer Towny survival server that started as a streaming world and now it is trying to grow into a bigger community.
The vibe is chill and griefing and stealing are not allowed. The world never resets so you can build towns and keep your progress.
It has ingame ranking with ingame money. There is Dynmap so you can see the world. You also get player warps and player shops plus a sell only server shop. It also has Jobs and MCMMO.
Most players are in Oceania and people are welcoming to new players. They said there are around 25 daily active players and it gets busiest during Twitch streams with 8 or more online. There is also an upcoming town rating event on stream.
It supports version 1.21.10 or similar and it also has a Bedrock port.

CozyOrigins SMP is a brand new Survival SMP on 1.21 that is built around community and staying active over time.
Players can build big projects explore the world grind skills and set up shops to grow a player run economy. Trading and making coins is a big part of the vibe and the economy is based around infinite spawners so numbers can get wild.
The server adds new features and quality of life changes pretty much every week. They also fix bugs and keep improving things based on what players say.

PurpleSMP is a small survival server that feels simple but still polished. It is mainly PVE and it is meant to be a relaxing place to build without dealing with rude players.
It runs on 1.21.11 and it supports crossplay so you can join from different devices. The world has lots of space with no world border so you can travel far and find fresh land.
The server uses mcMMO so leveling skills makes grinding feel way better. The economy is player made with no server shops and no currency so trading is up to the community.

Crafted Survival is a semi vanilla SMP server where people build and play like normal survival but with quality of life stuff that makes it feel more alive.
It has a diamond based economy so players trade with diamonds and run player shops. There is also a shops GUI so you can browse stores fast or make your own.
Land claiming is on so your builds stay protected and it uses golden shovels. The server is PvE focused with no griefing and it does not use keep inventory.
Java and Bedrock players can play together. There is a live world map you can view in a browser and there are separate resource worlds to help keep the main world clean.
You can get ranks and vote rewards just by playing. The community is friendly and there are weekly events so it feels active.

I found a Java server called Everdawn Saga and it is still being built for Season 0. The whole point is that players can help shape the world while it is starting up.
It has different chat ranges so you can talk in global or local and even shout or whisper. It also has a D and D style dice roller plus a stats sheet so it feels more like an RPG.
The theme is medieval and it has a pantheon for lore. Staff and the community are meant to help you get started and there are lore masters who can help you build your character. You need to DM for an interview to join.

I found GOOMB SMP and it is a vanilla survival server on amplified terrain. The world got reset about a month ago so it still feels like a newer season and people are building fresh bases.
At first the world border made players live closer together but the border expanded so now there is a lot more room to spread out. The End is open and players started an egg hunt event so you can meet people while doing something fun.
The community seems really active with players advertising shops and sharing terrain screenshots and talking about trades. Voice chats are often full of people just hanging out and planning stuff.
The rules are pretty serious about being respectful. No hate speech or NSFW. No griefing stealing or unconsented PvP. You have to apply first and then get whitelisted.

LuckyGem SMP is a fresh semi vanilla survival server where you can play on Java or Bedrock together. It feels like a new start with a fully custom spawn and lots of places meant for players to use like a shopping district and a nether hub.
The server runs weekly competitions so there is always something to do. The challenges can be stuff like building mining redstone and PvE. Winners get big prizes with rare items and server perks plus bragging rights.
There are custom features too like over 2000 custom advancements and cosmetic datapacks so your character and builds can look more unique. There are also staff collectibles you can gather and if you collect five you can move a spawner to your base.

I found this server and it feels really calm and friendly. It is a vanilla survival server with a few helpful plugins so it stays simple.
You can claim land and use rtp and sethome. That makes it easy to explore and still not lose your place.
The community is really small right now and people are nice. I usually see like 3 to 5 players online. It is still pretty new and I think it started around November 2025. If you like chill survival this one is worth joining.
