ArcticMC is a new SMP survival server that started only a couple days ago. It has Towny and factions so you can build a town claim land team up or go take your own territory.
PVP matters here but they try to keep it fair with an honor system that is explained in their rules. It also uses McMMO style skills so you level up as you play and unlock special abilities.
The world generation is Tectonic so the terrain looks realistic with big mountains and valleys. There are also custom items like furniture and it is entity based so they plan limits to help with lag.
The vibe is calm and friendly and more chill than chaotic. It seems good if you want to grind build explore or just hang out.
